Byram School District Launches!

In time for the 2022/23 School year!

Byram was initially using eChalk Inc. for their school website but they had tremendous difficulty upgrading their website and getting good customer support.  Essentially what they needed was a team of people to bring the website to life with very little interaction.  Ultimately the website was built by us and the superintendent of schools had direct access to the developers to ensure a smooth delivery!

School districts come to us when there is no one to DIY the entire district

We combine the latest in web development best practices with our experience working with superintendents, principals, IT staff, and educators on their needs for a tailored website.

By creating a website that has the most current in website expectations by students and parents, and then adding in the customization that makes your community love it even more, we help make your school district website the go-to place for everything in your community.

Our Content Management System (CMS)

We start with what you need and then build the structure for your website. Most DIY systems out there provide you with the structure and you have to fit the mold.

Sections for each school and each department with assigned accessibility for different content creators if needed.

What you see is what you get.

It's not wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, or any other open source CMS that can wreak havoc on your site and system when it comes time to upgrade.

Our monthly service

School districts are busy educating kids.  We like to keep it that way. Our staff is ALWAYS available when needed.  Although school closings and delays can be handled by anyone at the school for immediate results, we are also just a phone call, text, or email away from assisting you when staff is unavailable.

We provide our districts with an unlimited amount of urgent updates/fixes each month as well as up to 5 hours per month on new updates, pages, links or assistance.

Our sample proposal will include cost details for a primary site design and framework for a single website and a separate cost for additional schools so you can estimate your total cost.

Our Process

We always start with the design.  Usually we'll present the home page and a few interior pages to show you the layout and the look and feel of your new layout.  The design is always supported by an existing mobile-responsive framework to ensure our design layout is fully functional.  Of course we'll show you how it looks on all devices as well.

Once the design is approved and completed, we'll proceed to develop the template for your website, home page, landing pages, interior pages, form and resource pages, calendar pages, teacher pages if needed and so on.

While this is being done we'll also develop the sections in the database and content management system so that your administrators can access the content and begin adding information.  Content can be imported or manually typed.  There are some situations where we will handle all of the content migration or the administrators at the school will handle it.

Once the content has been added to the site and framework is complete, only a few more steps to ensure all device testing is complete and SEO standards are followed.  Then we look into launching the site.

We'll work with your IT department to make sure the domain is properly redirected to our new servers.

"We initially went with FinalSite for our district but quickly realized that JAM was a better fit.  We needed the close connection with the development team to assist with our content migration. They delivered!"
