JAM Graphics

See what we're all about.

What's in a name?

In 2006, JAM Graphics was just an idea, a joint venture by John Tedesco and his sister Mary to do graphic design and art work on a freelance basis.

In 2008, JAM Graphics (short for John And Mary) was born. Working from his home office, John began to develop what is now an inbound marketing company delivering not just graphic design but also web development, marketing, video production, and more.

Today we are a team of eight individuals in a growing digital agency.

JAM Graphics Origin Story Timeline - 1990

John Tedesco, a young man from Bergen County learns the value of a dollar making pizzas at his family's restaurant, Tedesco's on Bergenline Avenue in West New York, NJ.

jam-graphics-story-1990

Well this is slightly embarassing although I'm proud of my family history and the 10+ years I spent working with my father in our family restaurant.  www.tedescosrestaurant.com

1991-1997

Always curious with computers --- John teaches himself Adobe Photoshop on his older sister Mary's computer.

jam-graphics-story-1991-1997

Although it was my father who purchased our first Tandy 1000 computer when I was 12 and paid me $100 to read the book and teach him how to use it.  It was years later when my sister was taking graphic design in college when I really became interested.

2001

John develops a side hustle as graphic artist & web designer for local advertising agency.

jam-graphics-story-2003

I was also the lead creative for my father's TV show that he created to drum up business for the restaurant.  We were shooting a car segment.  Those shorts though!

2003

John takes a full-time job designing packaging for retail products. His employer helps pay his education in Graphic Design & Visual Arts at William Paterson University right here in Wayne, NJ.

2008

John sets out on his own and starts JAM Graphics out of his home in suburban NJ. The name JAM stands for "John and Mary" --- a nod to his sister's role in developing his passion for graphics, design, and computers.

jam-graphics-story-2008

I had just left the paper and stationary industry and really had a passion for web design and when I was in between things, I secured 2 part time jobs and some side work and quickly built that into a business that required extra help and an office that wasn't my bedroom.

2010

JAM expands from a side hustle into a full web design operation. John and his first employee, Kurt, design websites for all sorts of New Jersey businesses.

2015

As customer needs shift and the web industry changes JAM evolves from a web design studio into a marketing agency with capabilities in graphics, web design, custom programming, social media, and content writing.

jam-graphics-story-2015

Our little office in Pequannock was very cozy and we miss Kurt Miller who left us after 7 years to become Officer Miller of the Sussex County Sheriffs Department.

2018

JAM's client base grows, and the company further evolves into a video-production-focused marketing agency, telling stories on the web for companies mainly in the healthcare, manufacturing, and home improvement industries.

jam-graphics-story-2018

My father has been telling me for a long time that we needed to get into video.

2019

JAM outgrows its old space, and moves in to the old offices of D&L Advertising (John's first employer).

jam-graphics-story-2019

An office I have had my eye on for a couple decades and acquired it by chance.  I have a couple of people to thank for getting it and making it look so fantastic.

2020

The year of the pandemic was not without its speed bumps. And maybe a few steps back, but we focused all of our attention on the clients that had tremendous struggle and tremendous success.

Our team collaborated daily remotely from the safety of our home and we never missed a beat.

2021

JAM looks to the future and continues on its mission to use creative ways to make good companies great.

Whatever the future holds, we know that we'll always be guided by these three core beliefs.

Work hard. Be creative. Never stop learning.

Our Core Beliefs

We have a few philosophies that we stand by everyday and it's these philosophies that has made us the success we are today

Outsourcing

We don't offshore our work. Ever. Our team of programmers, designers, and marketers are here in Pequannock, NJ.

Design

We don't use templates. Ever. We design from scratch so that we can meet the vision of the client at all costs.

Programming

We don't use pre-built systems like Wordpress or Joomla. Ever. We build custom, so we can do it the way you want it done.

Marketing

Quality before quantity and a focused attention on the bottom line. Sales.

Why Choose Us?

We're a small firm with the knowledge and resources of a larger company --- but without the hassle. You'll be in direct communication with the team. We work with our clients as a partner, take ownership of our projects, and we'll never hand you a cookie cutter website or a clip art logo.

And while we're working on something, if you need a logo, a business card, a flyer, a site update, an email blast, some social help, or anything really, we'll just do it. No waiting for quotes and requesting approvals. We'll work with you every step of the way to get the job done the way it needs to get done.
